Don Lino’s Africa

Don Lino’s Africa is being relaunched! When I first started smoking cigars in 2002 , Out of Africa is the cigar that dominated cigar store walls. The posters featuring Rhinos, Elephants, and Lions stampeding stuck in my memory and recalled the hunting stories I read as a child. Unfortunately the cigar disappeared before I was able to enjoy it. Years later when I went to open Vintino’s I scoured the web looking for ashtrays and posters from Don Lino, because to me, they epitomized what a lounge should look like.

Earlier this year and the PCA(Premium Cigar Association) convention, I was ecstatic to learn that Nestor Miranda was relaunching Africa! The blend is rolled by the storied AJ Fernandez factory and features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper, and African Cameroon wrapper, and filler of Dominican Piloto alongside Nicaraguan Jalapa, Ometepe, and Esteli tobaccos. They are going to be presented in humidor style boxes featuring the iconic African Safari scenes with 20 cigars.
